Simple Steps For Any Project

From engineering plans and council issues, through to legal agreements and construction practices, building a home or renovating an existing space can be a complex process. At Tomkins Constructions we take the pressure off our clients, providing them with easy-to-follow, transparent procedures and making the whole process as simplified and cost-effective as possible.

  1. UNDERSTANDING OUR CLIENTS

    Our greatest strength is the ability to listen to our clients’ needs and adapt them into real solutions. We sit down with you and discuss all avenues, acknowledging your desires while providing our own wisdom and honest input.

  2. TURNING DREAMS INTO REALITY

    We have our own architects, engineers and certified personnel who can all work very closely with you to bring your visions to life. Alternatively you may already have you own design plans - we can work from them too!

  3. EARLY AGREEMENTS

    For your convenience, we do a preliminary build cost estimate based on design plans. Once you’re happy we then proceed with a fixed-price quotation for your new build or renovation project.

  4. CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS

    Let’s make it official! Upon your approval of our final quote we then prepare the QMBA Residential Building Contract for signing of both parties. We are Master Builders Association Members and use all their binding contracts.

  5. PAPERWORK & PERMITS

    We take care of all building permits and the arduous paperwork and red tape that comes with a large construction project. If at any time you have any questions or issues with councils or regulatory bodies, we are there to sort it out.

  6. BUILDING COMMENCEMENT

    Construction processes depend on the individual project, but we make it a smooth process. We adhere to stringent safety and building codes, and in the case of renovation work, we also minimise the disturbance to your family and lifestyle.

  7. ONGOING REPORTS

    As your dream comes together, we feel it’s our obligation to keep you updated and informed of the development. We’re as transparent and down-to-earth as possible with our clients, letting them know all details in regular progress reports.

  8. COMPLETION & HANDOVER

    As we come to the end of the build we check with you if there are any upcoming needs and arrange a full inspection, making the final handover something to celebrate. Thorough in everything we do, warranties and certificates upon completion and your home is ready for your to live in!
