Maintaining the character and history of this home was paramount considering our clients emotional attachment, having grown up in the home as a child. Our clients required that it be brought back to its former glory by way of total refurbishment, re-design of living space arrangement and extensions to address the previous dis-functional layout issues. The home was quite large in its original state however the expanse of its site allowed for more bulk without dominating the river or street front. The river facing facade of the home was quite symmetrical, the extensions were designed to maintain this balance and match the original styling.

This is a grand home, the family plan to live in for quite some time so achieving the adequate balance between luxury and functionality was vital. Hence the ground level was re-configured to offer relocation of kitchen, and a central vantage point for supervision of children playing outside. The inclusion of 6 spacious bedrooms, 5 opulent bathrooms with marble tiles and European tap ware.
