Nestled on a private acreage property backing onto the Nerang River, the brief for this expansive 5 bedroom, 4 en-suite, 1 powder, residence was to echo our client’s strong core value of family. An impressive large tree on the property served as the inspiration for design, the tree as representation of a tree as ‘as source of life’ a symbolic heart of the home where all family members could gather. The symmetry of design split the home into two prominent wings and two distinctive court yards one at the front and rear creating break out spaces emulating a New Zealand Jack’s Point-style home.

With the client’s desire to bring their family holiday destination home with them during times of COVID lock downs, a striking Facade, dark and robust materials of exterior with timber cladding and stone surrounding the natural environment contrasted significantly revealing the beauty of this property. To reverberate this feeling of holiday, the Interiors, masculine moody intimacy. A dark robust palate with subtle textures created a luxury ‘getaway’ feeling.  Copper fittings and fixtures through-out provide an intimate lux feel, paired with timber floors generate a warmth and balances out cold reminiscent weathers of New Zealand Queenstown.
