Located in the peaceful & leafy ‘Seacliff’s’ Estate in Byron Bay, this brand new beach style home has been built with the ambiguity between indoors and outdoors and gives a strong sense of connection to it’s bushland surrounds, native flora and wide life that is clearly respected by the architect and our clients John & Robyn.
Our clients were looking to create an open, light- filled, beach style home with a contemporary design that utilized full advantage of limited ocean views and northerly aspect to catch the cooling summer breezes.
We configured the home to blend those external elements into the internal spaces as much as possible with careful placement of windows, louvres, internal sliding doors and high raked ceilings. The home is energy efficient & the internal spaces offer flexible configuration options to our owners.
A pleasingly organic & obstructive palette of white surfaces, black butt flooring, timber and stone are used through out the new home creating a coherent design across the levels.
The outdoor decks provide many multifunctional airy spaces for our clients to enjoy all year round. With future plans to build a pool adjacent to the front deck, this is the perfect place for entertaining, relaxation & reflection whilst capturing the established native trees, wide life & pool views.

We were firstly drawn to a Tomkins build around the corner and met Luke there by chance while talking to the delighted owner. Luke's trades are a highly skilled team, are polite and approachable and provided us high quality workmanship and an outstanding finish.
